
Logistics Team: Scope of Practice
Mission
To develop effective protocols for assessing, reporting, and posting infrastructure damage in a disaster and to respond to a disaster by following those protocols
Pre-Disaster Activities
Develop protocols for the collection, organization, and redistribution of resources.
Coordinate with community organizations and maintain an updated inventory of available resources and potential volunteers.
Activation Timeline
1–2 hours post incident, as Ready Your Street responsibilities allow (e.g., take care of local emergencies first)
Post-Disaster Activation
Report to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and submit a completedsubmit completed windshield survey upon arrival.
Deploy to collect, sort, and record donated resources, following established protocols.
Deploy to redistribute donated resources, as requested by EOC leadership.
Hours will vary based on the nature of the incident but will not exceed one 12-hour shift/24-hour period for a maximum of 14 consecutive days.
Supervision Responsibilities
Volunteers will not be expected to supervise others unless specifically assigned as a team lead.
