
Management Team: Scope of Practice
Mission
To support and oversee emergency preparedness planning and operations and emergency response.
Pre-Disaster Activities
Oversee training, drills, and both live and tabletop exercises.
Partner with emergency supply organizations, training organizations, and official municipal, county, state, and federal emergency response organizations.
Oversee the work of all of your community Anytown Prepares teams.
Ensure all volunteers are trained and credentialed.
Help to procure supplies needed by your Anytown Prepares teams.
Oversee agreements with local facilities for use as Disaster Hubs and other Meeting Places.
Oversee agreements with local businesses to ensure distribution of resources post-disaster.
Coordinate the emergency response efforts of different agencies.
Manage the operations of your Anytown Prepares organization.
Activation Timeline
Immediately post-incident.
Post-Disaster Activation
Team members will report to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) after a disaster, according to recall procedures.
At EOC, Team members will communicate with Disaster Hubs and community-level meeting places to
Provide information updates
Assist with medical triage
Determine how best to allocate resources including professional first responders
Manage morgue services
Track infrastructure damage
At EOC, Team members will communicate with Municipal, County, State, and Federal agencies.
Hours will vary based on the nature of the incident but will not exceed one 12-hour shift/24-hour period for a maximum of 14 consecutive days.
Supervision Responsibilities
Team members will supervise the community’s emergency response and Leads of other Anytown Prepares teams.
